Inaugurating the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Moldova in Cluj-Napoca


On December 5th, Ambassador Victor Chirilă and the Embassy team participated in the inauguration of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Moldova in Cluj-Napoca. The first Honorary Consul of our country in this city became the entrepreneur and businesswoman, Mrs. Nina Moldovan, as stated in a post on the Facebook page of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Bucharest.

The event brought together officials, members of the Honorary Consulates community in Cluj, members of the student community from the Republic of Moldova, business people, and academics from western Romania.

Ambassador Victor Chirilă, Mayor of Cluj Emil Boc, Deputy Prefect of Cluj County Răzvan Ciortea, and Mrs. Nina Moldovan addressed speeches to the attendees, expressing the desire to enhance the presence of the Republic of Moldova in Cluj County, both in strengthening and expanding investments and businesses from our country and in promoting cooperation between educational institutions, communities, and cultural environments.

Mayor Emil Boc emphasized that, with the start of the accession negotiations of the Republic of Moldova to the EU, we will find ourselves in a communal space where we will benefit from a conducive ground for close collaboration with mutually beneficial effects for both countries.
