The State Secretary of the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova (DRRM), Adrian Dupu, met with the new president of the National Authority for Citizenship (ANC) of Romania, Silviu Barbu. Their discussion was about new regulations in the process of regaining Romanian citizenship.
Mr. Dupu mentioned that Moldovan citizens frequently raise the subject in his discussions, indicating their strong interest in it. At the same time, Barbu told the head of the DRRM about his vision of the institution’s work and the strategy for streamlining the process of granting Romanian citizenship.
“I was glad to see that there is openness for cooperation, to offer more and more support for those waiting to regain the right to be Romanian citizens with proper papers,” Adrian Dupu noted.
