Moldova exports 13 times more to the European Union than to Russia. At least, that’s what the EU Ambassador to our country, Janis Mazeiks, says.
The official said in the Radio Moldova studio that this was due not only to the desire of Europe to support our country. The EU Ambassador said that the Russian Federation does not accept certain types of imported goods from Moldova.
“According to the figures, Moldova’s exports to the EU are 13 times higher than exports to Russia. If you improve veterinary standards in agricultural production and they are in line with EU standards, then this will open up access to these markets,” Mazeiks said.
According to the EU Delegation to the Republic of Moldova, last year, the export of Moldovan goods to the European Union increased by 32.3% compared to 2021. And the number of companies exporting to the EU reached 2044.
