Tiraspol leader Vadim Krasnoselsky has asked the International Committee of the Red Cross and the World Health Organisation (WHO) to facilitate the supply of medical equipment to Transnistria.
The politician said that Moldova “once again blocks the work of Transnistrian doctors, preventing them from bringing to the region parts for the repair of tomographs”.
Krasnoselsky believes that “Chisinau’s actions violate international human rights agreements.”
“It was stated by RM officials that Moldova intends to hinder the process of servicing and repairing all radiology equipment in Transnistrian medical institutions: tomography, roentgen machines, fluorographs, etc. Thus, practically all medical activities that depend on radiography will be blocked in Transnistria, including in the field of traumatology, combating oncological diseases and the spread of tuberculosis,” the Transnistrian leader’s appeal reads.
Earlier, media from the left bank reported three cases of blocking supplies of radiology equipment to Transnistria. The Chisinau authorities, in turn, demand that Transnistrian medical centres register in Moldova.
