The head of state had a meeting with several Danish parliamentarians, members of the Foreign Policy Committee of the Danish Parliament. Officials discussed bilateral relations, the extensive modernization process of the Republic of Moldova, and its accession to the European Union, as announced by the presidency.
At the same time, officials addressed the measures taken by our country to counter hybrid attacks and Moldova’s contribution to regional security.
President Maia Sandu welcomed the decision of the Danish partners to open an embassy in Chisinau next year, a significant step towards deepening bilateral cooperation, developing trade, and attracting investments.
The head of state thanked the Danish partners for the support they provide to Moldova and Ukraine and conveyed that we continue to rely on the support of the Kingdom of Denmark in starting EU accession negotiations.
