Maia Sandu spoke on the phone with the Azerbaijani president, Ilham Aliyev. The two presidents talked about the relations between Moldova and Azerbaijan, but also the regional situation.
The two heads of state appreciated the results of the cooperation that their countries had in 2022. The officials also agreed that Moldova and Azerbaijan should cooperate in the fields of interest.
“The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, spoke today by phone with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. The officials talked about the relations between our countries, in the complicated regional context. They appreciated the results of bilateral cooperation between the two countries during 2022. The two heads of state agreed to continue cooperation in areas of interest such as energy and agriculture”, announced the Presidency of the Republic of Moldova.
“I discussed with Ilham Aliyev the progress on our bilateral agenda and set the priorities for the next year in the field of energy, agriculture and economy,” writes Maia Sandu on a social network.
