The policies in the field of social protection and labor relations were discussed today, September 6, by the Vice President of the Parliament, Mihail Popșoi, with the Director of the International Labor Organization Office for Workers’ Activities for Europe and Central Asia, Maria Helena André.
The discussions focused on the government’s priorities in the field of social protection and labor relations.
“We are trying, through the reforms and policies promoted by us, to correctly distribute resources and restore social equity”, pointed out the vice-president of the Parliament, Mihail Popșoi.

At the same time, deputy Dan Perciun, who also participated in the meeting, referred to the objectives of the Parliament of the 11th legislature, which aim at social allowances, work in agriculture and the efficiency of work in the public sector.
For their part, the representatives of ILO-ACTRAV emphasized the openness to offer our country consultancy and technical assistance in this field.
The Republic of Moldova joined the International Labor Organization in 1995. Its primary goal is to promote employment opportunities in decent and productive work for women and men in conditions of freedom, equity, security and human dignity. This goal is achieved by promoting labor rights, increasing the level of social protection of the population and supporting the development of social dialogue.
