He reminded his visit to Washington in November-December 2024, but at that time, the new U.S. government had not officially begun its mandate.
According to Mihai Popsoi, all of Chisinau’s contacts in Washington “have always been bipartisan.”

“We have met with both the representatives of the Democratic Party, who were in power, with the opposition, with the Republicans, as is normal in democratic countries. Therefore, we have good contacts with Republican Party representatives and hope that, shortly, we will establish direct contacts with representatives of the new administration,” Popsoi said in the interview with the British television station.
