Igor Grosu met today, May 12, in Bucharest with Nicusor Dan.

“The Republic of Moldova and Romania share a special relationship and a strong partnership built on trust, mutual respect, and common goals. We discussed regional security, infrastructure projects connecting the two banks of the Prut River, economic cooperation, and Romania’s consistent and unconditional support for the European path of the Republic of Moldova.

Moldova and Romania need each other in a Europe where security, stability, and development can no longer be viewed separately. A strong, democratic, and European Moldova also means a more stable region and a more united Europe,” Grosu stated.

Earlier, Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu began his visit to Bucharest with a meeting with his counterpart, Mircea Abrudean. The officials discussed the close relationship between the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and the Parliament of Romania, joint projects connecting the two countries, and the important role of parliamentary cooperation in strengthening the bilateral partnership.
