Moldova’s Defense Minister paid an official visit to Spain at the invitation of the head of the country’s defense ministry. A document of intentions to promote defense cooperation between Moldova and Spain was signed in Madrid by the heads of the two countries’ defense ministries, Anatolie Nosatii and Margarita Robles.
At the bilateral meeting, the sides discussed bilateral defense cooperation issues and prospects for strengthening relations between the two ministries, as well as exchanged opinions on the security situation in the Black Sea region and “on how the Kingdom of Spain could support Moldova in its efforts to strengthen its defense capabilities,” the ministry’s press service reported.
Anatolie Nosatii thanked the Spanish side for assistance within the bilateral partnership and its contribution to the European Peace Instrument and the European Union’s Individual Support Package – Enhanced DCBI (Enhanced DCBI) programs.
The Moldovan minister welcomed Spain’s support for Moldova’s European integration course.
