Moldova and Ukraine Will Coordinate Their Efforts in the European Integration Process

“The Integration of Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova into the European Union: A Shared Objective for Both Nations. We’ve Aligned to Coordinate Our Efforts on This Path.” This statement was conveyed today by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, following his meeting with the Republic of Moldova’s Prime Minister, Dorin Recean.

During their discussion, the Ukrainian President highlighted that he engaged with Moldova’s head of government concerning the transit of Ukrainian food products through Moldova and the establishment of pertinent infrastructure.

“We extend our gratitude for your support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity!” concluded President Zelensky.

Currently in Ukraine on an official visit, Prime Minister Dorin Recean also engaged in a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart, Denis Shmyhal.

Notably, during his meeting with the Ukrainian counterpart, Recean underscored that “Putin aims to restore the USSR.”

Recean emphasized that Ukraine plays a pivotal role in upholding peace both in Moldova and across Europe. Concurrently, he referenced the Russian aggression in Ukraine in 2014.

“I am confident that my words represent not only Moldova’s stance but echo the sentiments of numerous European nations. The intentions of Russia and Putin to revive the USSR are unmistakably clear,” asserted the Moldovan Prime Minister.

Throughout the Kyiv meeting, discussions encompassed a range of bilateral subjects, including infrastructure, economic, and energy projects. This dialogue encompassed topics such as the export of cereals through the Black Sea, the construction of a bridge spanning the Dniester River, and the fortification of railway infrastructure between Moldova and Ukraine.
