Moldova has reached common ground with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) on signing a Free Trade Agreement, which will open up opportunities for the country’s economic development and improve access to international markets, according to the Minister of Economic Development and Digitization, Dumitru Alaiba.
The agreement will also reduce customs duties for goods imported from EFTA member states, providing better chances for Moldovan exports and boosting competitiveness in the production of goods and services, writes ProTV.
By gaining easier access to the markets of EFTA member countries, Moldovan companies will have more opportunities to attract foreign investments and expand their exports. To further support local exporters, the Minister plans to gather various groups of Moldovan exporters to discuss how best to utilize this economic opportunity.
With the signing of the Free Trade Agreement, Moldova is poised to tap into some of the world’s most prosperous markets, opening up new avenues for economic growth and development.
