“Moldovagaz” and “Energocom” are willing to provide assistance, including technical and commercial support, to “Tiraspoltransgaz” in organizing the purchase of gas on any European platform, based on market conditions, in order to ensure energy resources for residents of the left bank of the Dniester during the current crisis, IPN reports.
“Moldovagaz” and “Energocom” have confirmed this information and sent the necessary letters to the responsible institution on the left bank of the Dniester.

Natural gas can be delivered through various alternative transport routes up to the border of the Republic of Moldova, based on an agency agreement with SRL “Tiraspoltransgaz.”
On December 31, 2024, a successful test gas purchase was made for SA “Moldovagaz” on the Balkan Gas Hub platform in Bulgaria. The purchased quantity was 240 MWh, which was transported via the trans-Balkan pipeline corridor through Bulgaria, Romania, and Ukraine to the “Causeni” interconnection point at the border of the Republic of Moldova.
Moldovagaz cannot register as a participant in the gas market of European countries, which is why this agency contract with Energocom is necessary, the two institutions stated.
