Moldovan athlete Mariana Dragutan took the second place at the European Wrestling Championship

Moldovan athlete Mariana Dragutan took the second place at the European Wrestling Championships, which took place in Bucharest. Her victory was announced by the National Olympic Committee on 16 February.

Dragutsan competed in the 55kg weight category. She defeated athletes from Hungary and Poland but lost to Romania’s Andreea Beatrice Ana.

This is the third medal won by the Moldovan athletes at the European Championship in freestyle wrestling. Artem Deleanu won gold and Victor Ciobanu silver in Greco-Roman wrestling.

Also recall that on 15 February, the athlete Anastasia Nikita withdrew from the European Championships in freestyle wrestling due to trauma.
