Moldovan hospitals will receive IT equipment. The total value of the goods

1,205 computers and accessories were donated to the Ministry of Health,. They were procured by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the Office of the World Health Organization (WHO) Moldova, with the financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

The total value of the goods is about one million dollars, and the computer systems will be received by the primary health care institutions in the country – 35 health centers, the Balti Family Physicians Center, the University Clinic for Primary Medical Care, the State Polyclinic , the Territorial Medical Associations from Chisinau, but also the territorial subdivisions of the National Agency for Public Health.

The equipment offered will facilitate the use of information systems in the field of health, including the system for monitoring the process of vaccination against COVID-19 and anti-influenza immunization.

It will also streamline the work of medical workers and specialists in public health centers.

Additionally, the medical staff involved in reporting vaccination data will be trained with the support of WHO and UNICEF, including in the context of the development of new functionalities within the automated vaccination record information system.

Thus, the capacities of medical institutions to manage information on immunization against COVID-19 and other infections will be strengthened.
