Mundus Vini, one of the world’s most prestigious wine competitions, has named its winners after six days of tastings. More than 250 winemaking experts from 55 countries worldwide tasted wines from producers in 45 countries.
The Republic of Moldova succeeded in winning 96 medals, including 3 Grand Gold, 56 Gold and 37 Silver, making it the Eastern European country with the most awards. Our winemakers have surpassed countries such as Georgia and Romania in the number of medals.
Among the winners enjoying the highest distinction of the competition is Castel Mimi, which won Grand Gold (Best of the Show Moldova Red) with its wine made from local grape variety “The Governor Feteasca Neagra.” The Gold medal went to Negru de Bulboaca, vintage 2018, and Silver – The Governor’s Blend 2019.
