Moldovans in the diaspora, you decide how many voting stations will be abroad! You have one month to register for the elections

Moldovans abroad have one month left to register for the presidential elections and the referendum on joining the European Union. The deadline is September 6, and authorities will open and allocate voting stations based on the number of people who sign up.

The Central Electoral Commission has registered over 100,000 Moldovan citizens living abroad. Among them, over 2,400 have registered in advance in 2024, according to statistics from the Central Electoral Commission.

Most compatriots want to exercise their right to vote in Italy, the United Kingdom of Great Britain, Northern Ireland, and Germany.

“The purpose of advance registration is to determine the estimated number of voters who intend to vote abroad on election day to organize voting stations abroad. This is one of the three criteria established by the electoral law, along with information on voter participation dynamics in the last national elections and data provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the number and location of Moldovan citizens abroad,” stated the representatives of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC).
