The situation in the banking sector, the need to stimulate economic growth, and attracting investments were the topics of discussion at the meeting between Prime Minister Dorin Recean and the executive director of the World Bank Group, Koen Davidse.
The Prime Minister stated that the regional and global environment requires reforms. They will make Moldova’s economy more sustainable and resistant to shocks.
Also, the head of the cabinet of ministers referred to increasing the country’s competitiveness through investments in the energy sector, transport, the financial sector, as well as in export value chains.

The executive director of the World Bank Group, Koen Davidse, welcomed the actions of Chisinau for overcoming the crises of the last period. He reaffirmed the institution’s support in increasing the state’s capacity to implement international projects and programs.
