More than 40 foreign ministers will visit Moldova in May 2026. The officials will meet at the Ministerial Session of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.
It will happen after our country takes over the chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe from November 2025 to May 2026. The authorities will set up a working group to identify the appropriate date and location for the meeting in the Republic of Moldova, coordinate and draw up an action plan for the organization, and conduct the session.
The Ministerial Council of the Council of Europe Chairmanship is held by member states for a six-month term, in turn, in alphabetical order. It is handed over from state to state in mid-May or mid-November, the Chisinau diplomacy reports.
