Nicu Popescu met in Chisinau with several heads of diplomatic missions

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nicu Popescu, had a meeting with the heads of diplomatic missions of the member countries of the European Union, the G7 states and international organizations accredited in the Republic of Moldova. The officials met to discuss the next steps in the process of implementing the reforms on the way to the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the EU.

In the dialogue with the ambassadors, the Moldovan official reported on the consultation process, the development of the Action Plan, its approval within the National Commission for European Integration and the firm determination to implement it by the responsible national institutions.

“We highlighted the importance of our partners’ support to help us deal with the dramatic situation created by Russia’s war against Ukraine and its socio-economic impact on our country. Also, also during the meeting, together with Ecaterina Casinge – head of the Cabinet of President Maia Sandu – we talked about the Support Platform of the Republic of Moldova, whose third edition will be held in Paris. We will coordinate the efforts of the authorities to ensure the timely implementation of initiatives that will help us overcome current and future challenges”. – emphasized Minister Nicu Popescu.
