Eugen Osmochescu stated that economic prosperity cannot be built on passive expectations, but on concrete and rapid actions, during the “Reinvent Moldova 2.0” event organized by the Realitatea Media Group.

He emphasized that “it is much easier to channel actions toward a correct outcome than to do nothing,” stressing that the state, society, and the private sector must adopt a proactive approach.

“Prosperity is not just about wanting something. It is about being proactive,” the minister said.

At the same time, Osmochescu acknowledged serious communication gaps between authorities and the business environment. He pointed out that one of the main shortcomings since taking office has been the lack of effective information reaching businesses about available opportunities.

“We have a lack of efficient communication and information that reaches everyone, including about programs designed for the private sector,” he stated.

He referred to funds available through economic growth plans, as well as support programs for small and medium-sized enterprises, including those managed by the Organization for the Development of Entrepreneurship. According to the minister, these tools exist but are not sufficiently promoted.

He warned that the coming period will be extremely demanding for authorities, noting that the years 2026–2028 will require a “titanic effort” to implement reforms and fully use available resources.

In this context, Osmochescu stressed that the state must accelerate both its actions and communication so that support for businesses produces real effects in the economy of the Republic of Moldova.
