Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu congratulated the national team heading to the Olympic Games in Paris. The team comprises 26 athletes competing in 10 different sports.
At the beginning of the parliamentary session, Speaker Igor Grosu said that the country is proud of the 26 Olympians who will proudly represent Moldova at the Olympic Games starting tomorrow in Paris.
“In a small country like Moldova, there are 26 champions. It is the merit of athletes, coaches, doctors, and everyone behind this hard work. Dear athletes, the whole country will cheer for and support you! Good luck! Thanks to you, the world knows about Moldova and its people. Forward, Moldova!” – Igor Grosu said.

Paris will host the 33rd Summer Olympic Games from July 26 to August 11, 2024. A total of 10,500 athletes will compete in 32 sports, and for the first time, the Olympics will feature an equal number of male and female athletes.
