A Russian citizen, who turned out to be a former mercenary of the Private Military Company “Wagner,” was stopped at the International Airport of Chisinau. The man tried to cross the border yesterday, March 11. This is reported by the border police.
According to law enforcers, the 36-year-old Russian citizen said he came to Moldova on a short-term visit and planned to go to his friend in the Transnistrian region.
The investigation revealed that the friend of the ex-mercenary of PMC “Wagner” was waiting for him outside the airport and behaved suspiciously. The man tried to mislead security officers by concealing his ties with the former mercenary.
