The National Army is to receive three more Piranha armored personnel carriers from the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany.
“The technical units will arrive in the Republic of Moldova on Tuesday, February 14, current. The Piranha armored vehicles are received in the context of achieving the objective of modernizing the capabilities of the National Army and based on the Agreement signed between the Ministry of Defense and the German side in October 2021,” informs the Ministry of Defense.
The carriers will be used in the training process of the military, who are to be deployed in international peacekeeping missions.

The first batch of Piranha arrived in the Republic of Moldova this January. The donation contains a total of 19 “Piranha-3” armored personnel carriers. The other technical units will be delivered during the current year.
