The consolidation of the European partnership is extremely important for the internal business system of the Republic of Moldova in the context of obtaining candidate status for the EU. In this context, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Adrian Efros, had a meeting with his counterpart from the Republic of Poland, Mariusz Kamiński.
Officials discussed the volatile situation in the region, as well as the spectrum of hybrid challenges faced by the Republic of Moldova.
“We want to further develop sustainable cohesion with our Polish partners. Currently, we have ambitious projects underway that will contribute to the development and modernization of our law enforcement structures to ensure security and public order for our citizens. Thanks in part to our collaboration with our partners in Poland, the Republic of Moldova strengthens the security belt of Europe and becomes a security producer for the European space,” mentioned Minister Efros.
At the same time, Mariusz Kamiński discussed key challenges for regional security and emphasized the importance of the strategic partnership.
“We must act together because we have a common goal: ensuring and maintaining security in Europe. Poland has demonstrated that it stands with the Republic of Moldova,” stated Mariusz Kamiński.
Officials also discussed the short and medium-term objectives and priorities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Additionally, the ministers met with the personnel of the “Fulger” special police brigade of the General Police Inspectorate and conducted a working visit in the administrative line area near the town of Varnița.
