President Maia Sandu welcomed the Minister of Defense of France, Sébastien Lecornu, to Chisinau, with whom she discussed the excellent dynamics of bilateral friendship relations and the strengthening of our country’s defense capabilities, the press service of the Presidency announced to MOLDPRES.
The head of state noted that this is the first visit by a French Minister of Defense, which demonstrates the high level of trust between our countries. The President thanked Minister Lecornu for the strong support provided by his country in our European journey, as well as for the support given in strengthening national security and defense.
In the context of the border war, France’s support in the field of security will help us be more resilient to challenges and contribute to the construction of a stronger and more united Europe. The President mentioned that France is a reliable friend, and Moldova values this friendship, which helps us progress and strengthen our democracy.
