Eugen Osmochescu, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, will participate as a speaker at “Reinvent Moldova 2.0,” where he will address the theme of prosperity and present strategic directions for economic development and digital transformation in the Republic of Moldova.
During his speech, Osmochescu will highlight the role of digitalization in modernizing the economy, attracting investment, and increasing competitiveness. He will emphasize the importance of reforms and innovation for the country’s sustainable development.
Osmochescu brings over 25 years of experience in developing and implementing public policies and economic strategies. He is an internationally recognized expert in sustainable development, investment attraction, and regulatory reform. Within the World Bank Group, he coordinated complex reform programs in more than nine countries across Eastern Europe and Central Asia, generating impact in investment, digitalization, and job creation. He also managed international funds, developed analytical tools for regulatory efficiency, and led multidisciplinary teams of experts.
Throughout his career, he has contributed to drafting the Fiscal Code of the Republic of Moldova, modernizing the legal framework for special economic zones, digitalizing administrative processes, and aligning national regulations with the standards of the European Union, OECD, and World Trade Organization.
He is recognized for his strategic vision, results-oriented approach, and ability to build partnerships between the public and private sectors and international organizations to promote a competitive, sustainable, and inclusive economy.
“Reinvent Moldova 2.0,” organized by the Realitatea Media Group, will take place on April 30 and aims to serve as a major platform for dialogue, inspiration, and civic mobilization. The event will bring together leaders and experts to shape a shared vision for the country’s future, emphasizing that Moldova’s strength lies in its people—their aspirations, courage, and determination to build a modern, democratic, and prosperous state.
