The 2024 Moldova International Mayors’ Summit will be on 11 April in Danceni and is honored to host a series of special speakers, each bringing unique perspectives and experiences in the urban development and community resilience agenda. Here are some of them:
Ned Price, Deputy U.S. Representative to the United Nations, will share his extensive expertise gained from roles at the State Department, National Security Council, and co-founder of National Security Action.
From Romania, Allen Coliban, Mayor of Brasov, will share his innovative approach to transforming the city into a model of sustainability and quality of life. With a distinguished political career, including a term as senator from 2016 to 2020 and president of the Environment Commission, Coliban has distinguished himself with legislative initiatives such as the “DNA of Forests” and the “Law of Odours.” As mayor, he set out to make Brasov the Green Capital of Romania, with a focus on sustainable development, alternative mobility, eco-tourism, and green technologies.
His vision includes ambitious projects such as the construction of two new hospitals and the Brassovia Nature Park.
From Ukraine, the Mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, whose dedication to transforming his city into an environment of comfort, competitiveness, and investment attraction is remarkable. His leadership in promoting infrastructure improvements, improving the quality of services, and attracting investors resonates with the Summit’s focus on the vital role of urban revitalization.
