In general, the organization functions on an informal basis, but we also run mandate-based activities. An example of such activity is the work of the Parliamentary Working Group on Gagauzia, operating based on the mandate of the President of the Parliament. It includes shuttle diplomacy, agenda setting, identification of priorities, which are important aspects both for the autonomy and for the Republic of Moldova.
Steve Young, CMI country manager
CMI sticks to certain values that we must respect in our activity. The organization provides services of impartial mediation regardless of the political agenda of the parties involved in the process. This helps us promote social cohesion. Inclusion is also important for CMI. In the working process we try to engage in discussions all the stakeholders and interested parties.
