Rlive TV was included in the list of “must carry” audiovisual media services for the year 2023, the retransmission of which is mandatory for cable media service distributors.
The decision was taken by the members of the Audiovisual Council (CA) in last Friday’s meeting. The same list also includes Moldova-1; Moldova-2; TV Gagauzia; TVR Moldova; TV5 Monde; Jurnal TV; TV8 and Prime.
“The television media service “TV-Găgăuzia”, which belongs to the regional public media service provider Company “Gagauziya Radio Televizionu”, will be mandatorily rebroadcast in UTA Găgăuzia, and in the other localities – depending on the technological capabilities of the distributor”, CA announces.
According to CA, the list is drawn up considering several criteria, such as the fortification of the autochthonous/local product; audiovisual programs in Romanian; the public provider of media services; the strengthening of European audiovisual works; ensuring a balanced offer; audiovisual programs for children and news programs.
