In celebration of the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and the 2024 Europe Days, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium to the Republic of Moldova is organising the exclusive performance of “This is Europe.” The event will take place on Saturday, June 1st, 2024, at 19:00. It will be held at the Luceafarul Theater, located at Veronica Micle Street, No. 7, in Chisinau. The language of the event will be English.
“This is Europe” is a unique play with a musical touch by Professor Hendrik Vos and cellist Frans Grapperhaus. This engaging performance pays tribute to the European Union through a blend of historical insights, witty anecdotes, and captivating stories. Themes range from a roast chicken to a railway wagon, offering a humorous yet profound exploration of European integration.
The play will honor notable European figures such as Jean Monnet, Robert Schuman, Altiero Spinelli, Ursula Hirschman, and Paul-Henri Spaak, bringing their contributions to life in an accessible and engaging manner.
