The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) members set the ceiling of funds transferred to the bank account “Intended for the initiative group” to support the candidate for President of the Republic of Moldova in the presidential elections on October 20, 2024. The resources cannot exceed 498610,29 lei.
Also today, CEC members approved the first two public interest messages for broadcasting during the election period and confirmed journalists to cover and monitor the October 20, 2024 elections.
Thus, the CEC members approved an informative video spot on combating sexism, harassment, and violence against women in elections, prepared by the Council of Europe Office in Chisinau, and an information leaflet aimed at informing citizens about the republican constitutional referendum of October 20, 2024, prepared by the Public Association “Community Plus.”
According to the law, only messages of public interest approved by the CEC are broadcast during the general election period.
