Prosecutor Dumitru Obada will represent the Republic of Moldova at the European Court of Human Rights. This decision was taken recently by the Cabinet of Ministers. He has over 11 years of experience and has worked for the General Prosecutor’s Office and the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.
“Obviously it is a loss for the General Prosecutor’s Office, but I am convinced that it is a good candidate for the position of government agent. The national and international experience and research will allow him to successfully carry out the duties of a government agent, to successfully represent the Republic of Moldova at the European Court of Human Rights and to strengthen governmental capacity before the High Jurisdictional Forum in Strasbourg, “said Sergiu Litvinenco.

Last year, Dumitru Obadă was appointed Chief Prosecutor of the Department of Criminological Analysis, Approval and Legislative Proposals within the Policy, Reforms and Society Protection Department of the General Prosecutor’s Office, for a 5-year term.
