From 9 to 16 May, about 400 Moldovan and American soldiers will participate in the bilateral exercise “Swift Response-2024” on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, announces the Ministry of Defence.
During the forthcoming exercise, several military-technical units will deploy along national roads in the central and northern regions of the country. Citizens are urged not to panic and to get informed from reliable information.
At the same time, two C-130 Hercules military aircraft from the USA, European, and African Command will take part in the parachute jumps.
“They will perform parachute jumps in the Floresti, Falesti, and Balți districts. Combat shooting exercises will take place at the Training Center in Balti municipality,” the institution communicates.
“Swift Response” is part of the multinational exercise “Defender Europe 24” and is intended for Moldovan-American special operations forces, and the National Army participates in “Defender Europe” exercises from 2021.

“Safety measures will be followed during training to avoid disrupting public activity,” the Ministry of Defence says.
