The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry has announced the launch of the fifth call for applications under the Sustainable Land Management (SLM) Post-Investment Grant Program, part of the Moldova Competitive Agriculture Project (MAC-P), which allows farmers who have invested in sustainable land management technologies and practices to apply for grants of up to $10,000.
The call is open from September 02 to October 04, 2024.
“The program is intended for agricultural producers registered under the laws of the Republic of Moldova and have made eligible investments in the agricultural sector. The post-investment grant provides a reimbursement of 30% of the value of the eligible investment. Each beneficiary is eligible for only one grant. Producers who have purchased the technique/implemented the practices between April 30 and October 4, 2024 (after the completion of the previous call) are also eligible,” the Ministry of Agriculture says.
Equipment eligible for funding includes seed drills, shredders, sprinklers, combine harvesters, strip-forming combiners, irrigation equipment and systems, hydro-technical water catchment constructions, establishment/rehabilitation of windbreaks, afforestation improvement of degraded land, tree-planting around trees in orchards.

Applicants or their legal representatives must submit the application files to the headquarters of the Agricultural Intervention and Payments Agency (AIPA) territorial sections or departments within the area where the investment was made.
Agricultural producers can consult the Grant Allocation Manual to ensure that they meet all the eligibility criteria and that the documentation required for the application is complete and correctly drawn up. In particular, it is significant to note that the MDT Grant Program recipients in the first phase (2014-2017) are also eligible for a grant in the current phase.
