The Moldovan ambassador to Israel is negotiating the fees to be removed for mandatory permits

The Moldovan ambassador to Israel, Alexandr Roitman, is negotiating the cancellation of fees for mandatory electronic permits for Moldovans, according to Newsmaker. The diplomat mentioned that if no agreement is reached, Chisinau could impose similar regulations on Israelis.

According to Roitman, Moldovans working in Israel must hold a special work visa. When they go on vacation to Moldova and return, they need to obtain a “re-entry visa,” which costs the equivalent of about 120 lei.

Therefore, our authorities have requested that the Israeli side either fully or partially eliminate this system for Moldovans.

“We are requesting that if this system is implemented, it should be reciprocal. I anticipated that the Israeli side would need to offer a solution. If Israel moves forward with this system, we will also take similar steps, or they must find a way for Moldova to avoid these fees,” said the diplomat.

Ambassador Alexandr Roitman also noted that, despite the visa-free regime for our citizens, they face a significant number of entry refusals into Israel.
