The National Bank of Moldova (BNM) is attending the global meeting of the Sustainable Banking and Finance Network (SBFN) for the first time. The event, organized alongside the G20 Sustainable Finance Working Group (SFWG), is in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The BNM Governor Anca Dragu represents Moldova, marking the country’s historic debut at this high-level international forum.
Over 40 leaders in sustainable finance, including central bank governors, senior representatives from the G20 Sustainable Finance Working Group, SBFN members, and experts from the World Bank and International Finance Corporation (IFC), are participating in the event.
Governor Dragu, as a representative of an emerging country, will join a panel discussion titled “SBFN Members’ Highlights.” She will discuss sustainable financing from the viewpoint of the National Bank of Moldova’s commitment to creating and implementing a national framework aligned with international and EU best practices. She will also share the BNM’s experience working with the IFC to develop a sustainable financing roadmap.
