A delegation from the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Sejm of Poland is paying an official visit to the Republic of Moldova from May 10 to 12. During their stay in Chisinau, the Polish lawmakers will meet with representatives of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova.
At Parliament, the delegation will meet with Speaker Igor Grosu. Officials have also scheduled talks with Parliament Deputy Speaker and chair of the Foreign Policy Committee Doina Gherman, as well as with the head of the Friendship Group with Poland, Larisa Voloh.
The agenda also includes a meeting with Carolina Perebinos, State Secretary at the Moldovan Foreign Ministry.
According to Parliament, the discussions will focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation, including at the parliamentary level, and on opportunities to deepen the partnership between the two countries in areas of common interest.
Officials will also exchange views on Moldova’s European integration path and discuss relevant best practices related to the country’s accession process to the European Union.
