Following some surprising revelations, crucial information about the promotion of the French company in the tender for Chisinau Airport has come to light. Lagardere representative Baptiste Duguit, Vice President for Development, made disturbing statements, revealing details of crucial meetings and political influence, reports Bani.md.
According to Duguit, President Maia Sandu played a significant role in encouraging investment in Chisinau airport. He said they were “seduced” by the head of state during a discussion in France. This statement raises questions about the transparency and fairness of the tendering process.
Moreover, representatives of the French company met with several Moldovan officials, including the Minister of Economy, Dumitru Alaiba, and directors of the Public Property Agency Chisinau International Airport.
Surprisingly, however, they never met the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Andrei Spinu. This omission raises questions about the dynamics and transparency of the dialogue between the French company and the Moldovan authorities.
