The company Viomar Impex won the tender for the delivery of HFO (Heavy Fuel Oil) to the Republic of Moldova. The value of the contract is 300 million lei, writes BANI.MD.
Two companies participated in the auction. Viomar Impex which was named the winner. According to the financial report, the company recorded losses of 356.4 million lei in 2021, 2.8 times more than the previous year. The company has been active since 2014, and the founder and administrator is Viorel Șchivu.
Previously, Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spînu declared that: “on the market, the cost of fuel oil is 700-800 USD per ton, to which transport is also added. For example, if we were to buy from Romania, the price with transport reaches 900-1000 USD”.
“We intend to purchase fuel oil to ensure the operation of Termoelectrica. The first purchase contract was signed. We are sure that we will be able to buy the necessary volumes for the operation of the enterprise during the winter”, said Spînu.
To get out of winter, the Republic of Moldova needs about 320 thousand tons of fuel oil.
