Charles Michel highlighted the tourism potential of the Republic of Moldova after visiting Castel Mimi, which he described as a clear example of investment in the country’s future.
He made the statement during the event “Reinvent Moldova 2.0,” where he emphasized that tourism plays an important role not only economically but also in shaping the country’s image.
“I had the pleasure yesterday of visiting Castel Mimi, and I see it as an excellent example of this ambition to invest in the country’s future. By the way, tourism is a very important sector, not only for economic reasons, but also because tourism is a powerful soft power tool that allows more people from around the world and from the EU to get to know Moldova better,” Charles Michel said.
He also stressed the need to strengthen cooperation at the continental level and highlighted the role of countries aspiring to join the European Union, including the Republic of Moldova.
“Reinvent Moldova 2.0,” organized by the Realitatea Media Group, serves as a platform for dialogue on the country’s European future, bringing together political leaders, experts, and representatives of civil society.
