The experience of the Republic of Moldova in the field of resilience can also benefit the European Union, said former President of the European Council Charles Michel during the Reinvent Moldova 2.0 event.
The special guest of the forum, organized by the Realitatea Media Group, noted that Moldova faces ongoing destabilization attempts but can also support EU member states through its experience.
“You have important experience in resilience in Moldova. You understand what this word means. It is not a theoretical concept, because you live in an environment where you must face attempts at destabilization. Your experience can be useful not only for you in Moldova, but also for partners in the EU,” Charles Michel said.
He also emphasized that the European Union needs to strengthen its defense capabilities.
Referring to Moldova, Michel stressed the importance of continuing reforms to ensure development, highlighting sectors such as tourism, agriculture, and the broader economy as areas with strong potential if further supported.
Reinvent Moldova 2.0 serves as a platform for dialogue on the country’s European future, bringing together political leaders, experts, and representatives of civil society.
