(VIDEO) EU Talks in Vulcanesti – Mazeiks and Colleagues Present EU Opportunities for Citizens

The Head of the EU Delegation, Janis Mazeiks, along with several colleagues from the EU mission in Chisinau, visited Vulcanesti. The officials provided local authorities, businesspeople, and interested citizens with information about the opportunities offered by the European community.

“We are talking about what the EU means and what opportunities it offers citizens from any region of Moldova. If you are a representative of the City Hall, you have one type of interest if you are a businessperson – another. (…) The Republic of Moldova is moving towards becoming a full member of the EU. (…) For us, it is important that in every region of Moldova, all citizens have equal development opportunities,” Mazeiks stated.

Mazeiks also discussed EU-implemented projects in the Vulcanesti district, including the installation of street lighting in Etulia, Chismichio, and Carbalia, the construction of a water supply system, and the cleaning of the Cahul Riverbed.
