Irina Vlah, the founder of “Platform Moldova,” claims that after announcing her candidacy for the presidency of Moldova, she has faced attacks and intimidation. She shared this information during a press briefing and in a message on her Telegram account. The politician believes that the current president ordered these actions.
“In recent days, I have noticed Maia Sandu mobilize an entire army against me—security personnel, local authority representatives, paid analysts, controlled and yellow media. I encounter provocateurs everywhere—people who try to intimidate and discourage me. Honestly, I pity them because they lack the basic dignity and courage to oppose the criminal orders from a government that has long lost its legitimacy and now acts like any regime in its death throes.”
From another perspective, “Maia Sandu’s increased attention and the efforts of her followers prove to me that I have chosen the right path. I am proud that Maia Sandu has identified me as her number one enemy and has deployed this enormous army of political mercenaries against me,” declares Vlah.
In the same briefing, Irina Vlah reported that during her meetings across Moldova, she noticed that “security personnel are following her.” She presented several photos showing cars waiting for her.
Vlah says that what bothers her even more is that “people who meet with me receive phone calls, are questioned about their participation in such meetings, and are directly advised to avoid communicating with me.” As a result, several Moldovan mayors have reportedly postponed meetings with Vlah to avoid being “punished” by the government.
