Vladimir Bolea: Romania is the number One economic partner of the Republic of Moldova

The economic relationship with Romania is in constant evolution, stated the Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry, Vladimir Bolea, as reported by TVR Moldova. The official also specified that Romania is the number one partner of the Republic of Moldova regarding cooperation between the relevant ministries.

“Romania is by far Moldova’s number 1 partner; it’s absolutely natural given our geographical proximity, shared production tastes, and, ultimately, being two peoples. Practically, these aspects are reflected in our attitudes and approaches. The last time I reported on the quantities of cereals produced and the economic relationship regarding cereal exports to Minister Florin-IonuÈ› Barbă, 43% of cereal exports to Romania were made by small-scale farmers producing up to 1000-1500 tons of cereals. We’re talking about farmers from FloreÈ™ti, the BălÈ›i region, who went to Romania, to BotoÈ™ani, found a farm, and made a contract with a Romanian farmer who has animals and supplies wheat for animal feed. These are incredible relationships, and in terms of sustainability, they are the best possible. People on both sides of the river are starting to form what I call an emotion; they’ve done business, they’ve worked together. I think there was a lack of this emotion because there have been good relations at the government level in various periods. Obviously, we are present in commercial chains,” stated Vladimir Bolea on the TVR Moldova set.
