What Documents Are Required for Voting in the November 5th Local Elections?

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) informs Moldovans about the voting procedure for the general local elections on November 5th.

To be able to vote, you need one of the following documents:

  1. The identity card of a citizen of the Republic of Moldova, which confirms domicile or temporary residence in the territorial area of the polling station.
  2. A provisional identity card with mentions regarding Moldovan citizenship, domicile, or temporary residence of the holder.
  3. The passport of a citizen of the Republic of Moldova.

It is worth noting that the general local elections will take place on Sunday, November 5th. According to the CEC, in this election, 898 mayors and 11,058 local councilors will be elected, including 9,972 village (communal) and town councilors and 1,086 district/municipal councilors
