President Maia Sandu had a meeting with the Secretary of State of North Carolina, Elaine F. Marshall, who was in Chisinau.
According to the Presidency, the two officials discussed the strong collaboration between the Republic of Moldova and the United States of America and the deepening of friendly relations in areas of common interest.
The head of state praised Secretary Marshall’s personal and longstanding contribution to Moldova’s partnership with the state of North Carolina, stating that this visit is yet another proof that Moldova is not alone in its fight for democracy.
The President reiterated the intention to fully leverage the partnership with the state of North Carolina in several important areas, including energy, justice, public security, agriculture, cybersecurity, healthcare, climate security, digital economy, and increased academic exchanges.
