A video claiming that the Moldovan Ministry of Education and Research (MER) would open a military-tourist camp for children, where they would learn how to use weapons, is circulating massively on social media. Representatives of the Ministry of Education came with a reaction denying this false information.
MER states that it will ask the competent bodies to identify the persons distributing such information to misinform Moldovans.
In this context, citizens need to obtain information only from reliable sources.
“Attention! False! A video is circulating online that the Ministry of Education and Research is opening a military-tourist camp for children from 1 June. It is a fake that several students will participate in military activities, including learning how to use weapons. The Ministry of Education and Research denies this FALSE information. We will ask the competent bodies to identify the persons guilty of making and distributing these falsehoods in the public space to misinforming citizens. We ask you to obtain information only from official and credible sources”, reads the message issued by MER.
