Igor Grosu is in Kyiv on Wednesday to attend the Crimean Platform Summit

Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu is attending the 4th Summit of the Crimean Platform today, September 11. Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky is hosting the event in Kyiv. The summit, which brings together official delegations from several countries, will address issues related to the current security situation in Ukraine.

Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu will deliver a speech at the summit, addressing the consequences of the Russian military aggression against Ukraine and Moldova, as well as efforts to integrate the two countries into the European family and contribute to a peaceful climate and European security.

The Crimean Platform Summit aims to strengthen the international community’s efforts to restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine, to draw attention to the situation in Ukraine and the violations of international law by the Russian Federation, and to discuss legal, economic, political, and humanitarian ways to bring Crimea back under Ukrainian control.

The first Crimean Platform Summit took place in 2021, with delegations from 43 countries attending, along with leaders from the European Council, the European Commission, the Council of Europe, NATO, and GUAM.
