Dorin Recean and Dumitru Alaiba are traveling to Davos, Switzerland. Moldovan officials are to attend the World Economic Forum.
The Moldovan delegation also includes the head of the Investment Agency, Natalia Bejan. The central theme of this year’s meeting will be “Cooperation for the Smart Era.”
“The Chief Executive will hold a series of bilateral meetings with political leaders and representatives of international companies. In the talks, Prime Minister Dorin Recean will promote our country’s economic agenda, focusing on the benefits that the Republic of Moldova offers to foreign investors. At the same time, the Prime Minister will talk about concerns related to information security and efforts to strengthen Moldova’s energy independence”, the government press service reports.

The event brings together nearly 3000 leaders from over 130 countries. Among those attending the event will be new US President Donald Trump, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelenski, and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
World leaders are expected to identify new sources of growth and technological innovation, discuss transforming industries, developing human capital, protecting the planet, and promote international cooperation amid geopolitical fragmentation.
